Sentinel Drivers Club Annual General Meeting

This years AGM will be held in Liverpool. As I am sure you are all aware Liverpool was a very major stronghold for Sentinel and was the last city in the UK still employing many steam waggons on the Docks up until the mid 1960’s.

The meeting will be held at the Jury’s Inn at Keel Wharf. The hotel is in the middle of the renovated dock area and is next to the Liverpool Echo Arena and BT Wheel. A special rate of £99 per double/ twin room for Bed and Breakfast has been agreed with the hotel. We will also be having a group meal in the evening and this will be £25 per head. The hotel is an ideal place to be based to find out more about the fascinating history of the City. On the Albert Dock which is 2 minutes walk from the hotel is the Maritime museum and the brand new City of Liverpool museum which has just been opened by the Queen. Both are well worth a visit and both are completely free! For the ladies the Liverpool One shopping centre is a short walk away. If you are feeling brave why not take a trip by road and water in one of the vintage Ducks around and through the docks.

Liverpool is a city which has enjoyed a huge amount of investment and regeneration over the last 20 years and I am sure you will find it a fascinating and interesting place to come and visit.
